They are doing both England and West Ham proud. Following on from Doing England Proud Part I (funnily enough) I am delighted to write that both James Tomkins and Freddy Sears have been named in the provisional England U-19 to travel to the European Championships in the Czech Republic. As we all know, something the full squad couldn’t manage. No need to go on though.
I seem to be writing a lot about Tony Carr these days, but hats off once again to the guy.
Tomkins had this to say about the Championships:
We’re going there to win it. I don’t see why we can’t, especially after the way we played in Belarus
They are clearly a team brimming with confidence and I want to wish them all the best particularly, obviously, Tomka and Sears.
I will keep you posted with their performance.
First game is against the Czech Republic at 4:30pm on July 14th.
Sam
