Poll

Where will we finish next season?

I can’t decide if it’s a shame or not that there isn’t much West Ham news floating about at the minute. It’s either a good thing that no integral players have been sold, or a bad thing that we’ve not bought any new faces in…of course I could jump on the bandwagon with a misleading title and a completely made up post, but then I figured…well, not to.

So here’s a quick post work poll to mull over – where do you think, we will finish this season? Assume when voting that out team will not get added to and no key players lost before the beginning of the year…I’ll run another one a the end of the transfer window/the start of the season…

POLL HAS NOW FINISHED, SEE HERE FOR RESULTS

Personally I feel that we will push on from last year and make the Europa league spots – but (and it’s a big but!) it depends on if we can hold onto the likes of Upson, Parker, Green, (Ashton) and the like…those of you who are aware of my optimism will know it was a struggle for me not to vote Champions League!

Wore these to every game this year. They may not be lucky, but they're comfy:

    2. Hi Sam
A mate of mine , a die hard chelski supporter, thinks this is a good signing and he has only moved as he sees Sturridge restricting his chances in the short term. SC must know him well and rate him so could be a good move within our financial restraints.

      • it sounds promising – but as a mate of mine mentioned, we need someone for the ‘now’ rather than for the future…not that I’m complaining that much if he’s as good as is said

        • Sure we could do with a fit Ashton to assist CC, but this type of player fits the GZ/SC vision of taking the club forward. We aren’t in a position to do a ManC so success has to be built over the next couple of seasons. I really like the way things are working out, a happy club, not full of prima donnas causing problems. A hammers fan for 50plus years, I feel we are back to our true ethos as a club.

    4. We will finish in the bottom half if we dont get another forward. We cant rely on Deano to be fit and that only leaves us with Carlton. Dont get me wrong I think Carlton had a great season overall but remember your thoughts on him before the season began and the performances early season. He scored 10 goals which does not make him a world beater and we have no other options at the minute. We must get another proven striker to finish in the top half.

      To whet your appetites :)

Whilst it seems glaringly obvious that Franco needs to bring in strikers (plural), the Hammers having been missing in that department for the best part of the season, I for one am glad to see us regularly pilfering the so-called top club’s best ‘youth’ talent.

      This guy is huge.

If we are going to be the Academy Of Football, then we need to have the ingredients to match the label on the tin.

In my opinion we have :) and I am very excited for the future of West Ham and West Ham’s England! :D

Back to reality though, DiMicele and Tristan having been discarded (Good!), Freddie Sears on Loan (Make or break for him, but a good decision) and Ashton either unfit ‘again’ or going to Stoke, surely we cannot go into the season with A solitary Carlton Cole? Heaven forbid!

      Guess we’ll see.
