Have you seen this man?

A photo has been released of another man the club are looking for. He went missing during the game against Stoke on Saturday 17th October at roughly 3pm. Photo below:

His absence was particularly noted whilst Robert Huth comitted GBH on Upson during the later stages of the game.

Sam

(here’s the video – 4mins 40seconds is roughly when the assault takes place)

    4. Hate to go back to an old subject, but this is an area where video replays could be really effective.

If a player goes down like this, it generally takes a while to get the game going again, and a quick look at some video would establish what had happened.

Until this happens (if it happens), the referee and his assistants really have to keep an eye on these set pieces.

    5. For some unknown reason players these days seem to think that even though there are upwards of 20 cameras watching the game they wont be seen.

Luckily Herr Huth will be banned for 3 games (I hope)

      • Yeah, how stupid can they be? As for using replays as an aid to refereeing matches, they still seem really reluctant to go that route. I can understand the point that it’ll slow games down but, if they really don’t want to introduce it, they’re going to have to improve the standards of the refs and linesmen. There have been some huge mistakes in many matches recently. We also need to train the refs to respond to 5 minutes added on for high profile teams by blowing the final whistle ten minutes early :D
